Go Red For Women and wear Red this Friday, Feb 3rd

Tomorrow, Friday, Feb 3rd, is national Wear Red for Women Day!
Get out your fabulous favorite red clothing and show your support for yourself and women the world over!

In 2004, the American Heart Association (AHA) faced a challenge. Cardiovascular disease claimed the lives of nearly 500,000 American women each year, yet women were not paying attention. In fact, many even dismissed it as an “older man’s disease.” To dispel the myths and raise awareness of heart disease as the number one killer of women, the American Heart Association created Go Red For Women – a passionate, emotional, social initiative designed to empower women to take charge of their heart health.

Watch this video with a light hearted turn on a serious situation.
Does it seem familiar to you?  I swear after watching this, I  know I've had at least 2 heart attacks in the past year!

And good ole Betty White -another good video

In all seriousness, it's so important to be aware of our health!  I'm very grateful to have started this path of health and happiness.  It is too easy to let stress take over our lives and well being.  We all need a moment to breathe and gain composure, relax and just rest.  We have to look out for ourselves 1st and not always last!
By being healthy and happy, we are examples to other women and to our young girls!!!

I hope you'll participate in this fun Friday event and find something red and gorgeous to wear tomorrow!
Have a Happy Healthy Go Red Friday!

You know if only I had read your blog and realized that yesterday was Wear Read for Woman Heart day. Leave it to me to wear blue!
